Built for clear feedback

The precision of a drawing tool.
The speed of a browser extension.

Professional drawing tools

Trendlines, horizontal levels, arrows, parallel channels, and text notes with selection handles and accurate hit testing.

A separate drawing layer

Annotations render in a transparent SVG overlay. WebMarkups does not rewrite the webpage's own content or styles.

Designed for continuity

Drawings, settings, and launcher placement are designed to persist automatically for each page URL.

Low-friction controls

Choose tools, colors, undo, redo, delete, and close from a compact interface that stays near the launcher.

Guidance without clutter

Brief tooltips explain what each primary tool does and how to use it, while the first-release interface stays deliberately lean.

Place the pencil anywhere

Move the launcher to a comfortable edge. It stays inside the viewport and remembers its placement.

Common questions

What to know before release

Is WebMarkups available now?

No. WebMarkups is currently being developed and tested. It will be released through the Chrome Web Store when it is ready.

Does it change the webpage?

No. Drawings appear in a separate extension-managed SVG overlay rather than editing the page's own content.

Where are annotations stored?

Free annotation data stays in Chrome's local extension storage, organized by page URL. Pro cloud storage is being developed as an explicit per-page option.

What will Pro include?

Verified accounts, cloud sync, screenshots, and 5 GiB of private storage are planned at $1.99/month or $19.99/year (Save 16%). Pro is not currently available.
